Kate Bevan is a Sheffield based artist whose abstract paintings are inspired by her life as a woman, mother and eternal optimist.

Her work is a personal response to navigating change, embracing the chaos, rolling with the punches and always trying to see life through a joyful lens. Through freehand line work, layered colour and playful compositions Kate explores identity, self discovery and the beauty that can be found in imperfection.

Kate is particularly inspired by the way colours interact on the canvas, building her paintings through layers and layers that reflect growth, change and the experiences that shape us.

Kate has exhibited across the UK from local Fronteer Gallery in Sheffield down to Fox Yard Studio in Suffolk, Fusion Art Fair in Harrogate and was a finalist exhibiting in the Harley Open at The Harley Foundation. This year she has been shortlisted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2026

Kate loves creating unique pieces and is always happy to chat about private commissions.
